Who is Monster Dental Supply?

Where We Started

Monster Dental Supply is a South Florida based family-owned and operated business led by two brothers, Joe and Andrew Stave. Born in Philadelphia, the Stave’s moved south to Florida in the summer of 1993. Then, a year later Healthcare Supply was born, launched by Joe and Andrews’ parents Marc and Shelly in 1994. (Healthcare Supply was rebranded into Monster Dental Supply to better represent what our clientele purchases)

Over the next 27 years, Marc and Shelly ran the day-to-day operations and grew the business from the ground up. Initially, in those early days, earning new business was very difficult in such a hyper-competitive marketplace. And often, Marc and Shelly spent many days on the phone cold calling local customers and sending out mailing postcards to market the business, until eventually their efforts paid off and customers started calling back! Then, soon after hiring outside sales team members, virtually all of Palm Beach County

A Family Business with a Monster Mission

Originally founded in 1994 as Healthcare Supply by Shelly and Marc Stave, our business began with one goal: to provide Palm Beach County dental practices with quality products at affordable prices. Over the years, we’ve grown — not only in size but in vision.

To continue Shelly and Marc’s mission, their sons Andrew and Joe Stave have expanded their reach throughout the Southeast, delivering the same dependable service and low pricing that earned the trust of local dentists. In 2025, we rebranded as Monster Dental Supply to reflect our bold approach and extensive product offerings.

Healthcare Supply Celebrates 30 Years!

     It’s kind of funny, when you celebrate a birthday or anniversary, what we consider a “big” year are normally the ones that end in zero!  After looking back on the last thirty years, wow, has it been a journey. Like a roller coaster of course, ups and downs, twists & turns, and of course sometimes feeling upside down.  But, in the end, we are better, stronger, and more resilient than ever. I, Andrew, have been working here at Healthcare Supply (HCS) for 14 years now, and couldn’t be happier. It’s amazing working for a company who appreciates their staff as much as their customers, and here’s my story.

     Starting my career at a young 15 years old, I always thought I was going to be a store manager at Publix Super Markets. Working my way up through the ranks of bagger, cashier, office staff, and into management I learned that hard work pays off and gets noticed.  This is where I developed some of my most important attributes like how

Healthcare Supply (HCS) is a family-owned and operated business in South Florida. Joe and Andrew Stave, brothers, run this second-generation company. Both Joe and Andrew complement each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Andrew excels at sales and marketing while Joe flourishes running the day-to-day operations and website. Together we have put our minds together to implement premier customer service while still offering everyday low prices.

Joe and Andrew believe in hard work paying off. Both having young families with 2 kids each in elementary school, they find time every week, at least twice a week, to work “on the business.” Small businesses consume the owner's time as they play a major role in the company- Yes! Just like dentists! So, twice a week Joe and Andrew meet up to brainstorm new marketing ideas, make social media calendars, update promotions, add new items to the website, and discuss the weeks challenges.
